LANE CHANGE are based in Bicester, Oxfordshire.  Unlike many other slot car event companies, LANE CHANGE use Scalextric digital track rather than traditional track. This allows cars to change lanes, bringing a whole new dimension to Scalextric. With up to six cars racing on a two lane track, drivers can really experience the thrill of motor racing, and take advantage of the racing line.

LANE CHANGE Digital Slot Car Events are a great way to have fun, and are ideal for such things as:

• Children’s Parties (recommended minimum age 8, to take full advantage of the lane change feature)

Events are tailor made to meet the clients needs, but tend to be organised either as a ‘structured event ’ (eg family get-together, themed evening at pub/hotel) or as a ‘pay as you race public event’ (eg village fete where participants pay to have a go).

STRUCTURED EVENTS

LANE CHANGE can offer a variety of different race modes and cars.  We can organise and co-ordinate a schedule of races if required, or just let the client have fun doing their own thing.  Because at least one representative from LANE CHANGE remains at the venue, there is always someone available to show participants how to use the track and cars. 

Depending upon the size of the venue, LANE CHANGE can re-create one of the international circuits or design a custom track to fit the client’s particular space and requirements.  The recommended minimum space required for a track layout is 2.00 m x 1.68 m (6 ft 7 in x 5 ft 6 in) which gives a circuit length of 10.05 m (33 ft), but tracks can be built in excess of 25 m (82 ft).  See our tracks section for examples of what can be designed. 

PAY AS YOU RACE EVENTS

As an alternative to a structured event, LANE CHANGE can set up a basic track and participants are charged to enter each race. This is an ideal way to raise money for charity.
